After listening to NPR I learned that Ozzy Osbourne has written his autobiogrpahy, With help of Chris Ayres as the co-writer. This was his quote on the radio. "Other people's memories of the stuff in this book might not be the same as mine. I ain't gonna argue with 'em. Over the past forty years, I've been loaded on booze, coke, acid, Quaaludes, glue, cough mixture, heroin, Rohypnol, Klonopin, Vicodin, and too many other heavy-duty substances to list in this footnote. On more than a few occasions I was on all of those at the same time. I'm not the [expletive] Encyclopedia Britannica, put it that way. When you read here is what dribbled out of the jelly I call my brain when I asked it for my life story. Nothing more, nothing less..." Someone referring to their brain as jelly isn't the leading contestant to my favorite author. I was a fan of his reality show but I think his book would be just a little too much. At this point, I think he has done a great job admitting and quitting his drug dependency but most people that are his typical fan base surely aren't hanging out in Barnes and Noble all day. It's undeniable that he has been a huge impact on Rock N Roll. However, I don't see him bringing these things to the table in the world of writing books. Is this a plea for more fame, or does he think its still news to us that he in fact had a drug addiction. Im interested in reading this biography, I mean maybe we can understand what the man says via paperback. His book is titled "I Am Ozzy" and hit the shelves January of this year.
