I recently read on Digg.com that a lady by the name of Lynn Geter forced her son to kill his hamster after recieving a bad grade. This news really stuck in my head all day long. Most kids are devastated when their pet dies due to natural causes. Not only did the poor hamster get killed in a more than unhumane situation. The poor child has been scarred beyond belief. I was glad to discover that she was arrested and charged with animal and child cruelty as well as battery. People like this shouldn't be allowed to raise kids! Thats what wrong with this world these days!
